Yes, insurance is required when renting one of our RVs. You have the flexibility to choose coverage through RVshare, Outdoorsy, or directly with us.
If booking through RVshare or Outdoorsy, both platforms offer multiple tiers of insurance coverage at varying rates and deductible amounts, allowing you to select the option that best suits your needs. These policies also include roadside assistance as part of their coverage.
For direct rentals with us, we now offer insurance through our own provider, designed to make the process seamless and cost-effective. Our insurance rates are highly competitive compared to the share platforms, and you can add roadside assistance for a small additional fee. This option allows us to offer a more personalized rental experience tailored to your needs.
No matter which option you choose—directly through us or via RVshare or Outdoorsy—you can rest assured that we’re here to provide you with an excellent rental experience!
Absolutely. Each RVs undergoes regular maintenance in accordance with the Chassis manufacturer's specifications and schedules. Before you receive your vehicle, it is thoroughly inspected to ensure there are no existing issues that might impact your trip or your satisfaction.
Our rental vehicles are of the highest quality, but we can never guarantee that no issue will arise while you have the vehicle.
We allow small to medium-sized, well-behaved dogs in our pet-friendly vehicles. We’re sorry but we do not allow cats. Please be aware that if it comes to our attention that a pet has been in the rental vehicle without prior approval, a $200 fee will be applied.
No. We maintain a strict, no-smoking policy in all our units. Smoking inside an RV will incur a $300 cleaning fee that will be applied after your rental.
RVs are powered by various sources:
We will thoroughly educate you with each power source and its operations before your rental.
Yes, we do! The RV can be delivered to the location your choosing (such as a campground or your house. We will set it up, provide a walkthrough, and then pick it up when your rental period is complete.
Delivery costs $165.00 for distances within 15 miles. For distances over that, it will be $6 per mile. Our fee covers the time and fuel required to deliver the RV. Please realize that delivering an RV involves not just one trip, but also a return trip after the initial delivery, a pickup trip when you’re done with your rental, and another return trip from that pickup service. Questions? Please ask.
Let’s say you’re at a campground located 100 miles away from our current location. The cost for the initial 15 miles would amount to $165, but every additional mile would add $6. The final delivery charge would be $675.
Additional power draws while camping. During the summer season, because air conditioners may need to be run while driving, you can expect more generator usage than in the winter. Also, summer trips tend to be longer and result in higher power usage from electronic devices.
In general, however, few of our customers have greatly exceeded the allowed generator usage.
Because your allowed generator hours on a rental are four hours per day and are cumulative, during a three night rental you will have a total of 12 total generator hours at your disposal. This is generally why most rentals do not exceed their allotted generator hours. Should you exceed the generator usage, we charge an additional $4 per hour post rental.
Your rental comes with a full propane (LP) tank. You do not have to refill it before returning the RV.
The RV will have a full tank of gas at the start of your rental. Please return it with at least a half tank of gas. If you can’t refill the fuel tank, a gas fee may be applied post rental.
There are no hidden or undisclosed fees when you rent from us. At HRT, we offer transparency and good communication with our customers. However, please be aware that the websites where we list our RVs may have their own service fees that are added to your rental cost.
When booking through RVShare or Outdoorsy, we recommend contacting those platforms directly for more details.
